Mun Kee Fish Head in Taman Midah, Cheras

*Mun Kee is closed at Taman Midah. They have another brance near Leisure Mall area.

15 Jan 2016 - An update as I crave for curry fishhead and some simple Seremban omelette.

I was able to eat so much tofu puff, vegetables, there are quite a lot of fish meat as well, just that the curry base still need to be improved, it seems that there is just a taste of spicy, but not the rich texture of really as tasty like those in mamak.

Of course, the classic omelette always come in handy....the typical recipe is the big onions, eggs, carrots and prawns. They are generous, they add on pork sausage for us...

9 August 2015 - I have been always loving steamed fish, especially when it comes to steamed fish head. Now this is a tricky part, I do not know and also afraid to steam a fish, probably is because the fish meat is soft, and it won't be nice if it is overcooked, it is all about your cooking skills, which is why...

I was born as an eater and not a cook! Ah ha!

So, we passed by Taman Midah, and noticed there is a brand new steamed fish head open air restaurant. So-called restaurant, but it is open air concept, no air cond, and with an extended roof to accommodate more customers. Preciously, near to RHB/ Hong Leong Taman Midah.

So, we ordered almost every kinds of steamed fish in the restaurant - traditional soya sauce, ginger sauce, homemade spicy sauce, black bean sauce. Only the black bean sauce steamed fish head was so-so, others all are great.

The homemade beancurd was surprisingly nice as well, with the topping of minced pork.

All steamed fish head are priced at RM 26-28. We tried their fish broth soup but it was just okay for me, nothing really special.
